There are many good reasons to go for a gas fireplace rather than a wood stove. You can turn the fire on and off using a switch or remote control. For some gas fireplaces you do not need a chimney, the ventilation can be installed through the wall.

First of all, you must choose a fireplace that is approved for biogas. When installing a gas fireplace, you must comply with the same safety and fire regulations as when installing a wood-burning fireplace or wood-burning stove. You must, for example, use fire plates between the fireplace and combustible material if the fireplace is mounted next to a wall, integrated into a wall, or mounted on a wall. The fireplace must be installed by certified installers. Both the fireplace and the gas system must be checked after installation, and at regular intervals thereafter. Also remember that it must be reported to the municipality and the fire service when changing, removing or adding a fireplace.
